Timpul has obtained an exclusive report that two men and three women of Transnistrian-descent have been apprehended by Ukrainian police forces at the notorious Odessa–Reni highway border crossing.

The details surrounding the arrest are slowly coming out, but insiders have suggested that it was related to human trafficking. One report has declared that 10 women were being trafficked for prostitution and sent to the Ukrainian-Russian conflict in Crimea for soldiers of both sides. According to an anonymous tip, at least half of them were under the age of 18. The southern region of Transnistria and Ukraine has become a hotbed for illicit trade following years of Moldovan inaction in regard to the regional border dispute.

Ukrainian officials, though still silent on the arrest, has praised the recent policy of strengthening its borders and cited it as instrumental in carrying out these arrests.
